I just completed this lovely invitation suite. Both my client and her fiance are musicians, as are members of their families. They wanted something elegant that reflected their love of music and their wedding colors- deep blue and dark champagne.

We printed the invitations on shimmery metallic ivory stock with matching envelopes. Beautiful!

Elegant Swirls for a Winter Wedding

There's something so lovely about a winter wedding! Most of my clients get married during the spring and summer, so I was very excited to work with Patty and Chris on their winter wedding. Patty and Chris came to me with great ideas about their wedding invitations. Dramatic black and white. Sparkles. Everywhere! Fancy script fonts, well-organized inserts, and most importantly, an invitation that promises an elegant and FUN wedding reception!

Starfish Escort Cards for a Beachy Santa Cruz Wedding

I'm excited to show you a fun wedding I did this summer.My client wanted an elegant, clean, beach wedding. Her wedding invitations were fantastic- each delivered in a chocolate brown box, and inside a perfect white starfish was tied to each invite. What a treat to be invited to this intimate wedding!

I was thrilled when she contacted me to carry the starfish theme even further! The wedding was held at the historic Hollins House in Santa Cruz, overlooking Pasatiempo Golf course and the Monterey Bay. The day was amazing; perfect for an outdoor reception. We made tented table signs with subtle starfish details- each table was named for the group sitting there. Great ice breaker! (also, I want to be seated at the 'flawless' table!)

For the seating arrangements, we tied tiny tags around each starfish. The ribbon colors coordinated with the guests entrée selection. Adorable, right?

I love the wooden boxes. And the sand!

Graphite Plumes Pocketfolds

These platinum pocketfolds were delivered to my lovely client Stephanie last week, and I'm pleased to report that she loved them! When we had our consultation at my office, we discussed a timeless, super elegant event for her close friends and family. Her wedding will feature deep silver and navy blue as an accent color throughout.

The graphite plumes pocketfolds are so decadent, and fit perfectly with the event she is envisioning. And paired with the deep navy cardstock and crisp white cardstock- wow. Total elegance.

Here is a new autumn invitation design, fresh off the presses. I do love the long 4 x 9 wedding invitation- they're just a little bit unexpected in the mail, and so elegant!
The deep red and chocolate brown ink are perfect for autumn weddings, but easily customized with your wedding colors as well!

Invitations are printed on 80% post consumer recycled cardstock with 30% post consumer recycled envelopes, so you can be thrilled about getting unique invitations and doing something good for the environment!

Adorable Vintage Peonies

I'm so thrilled to be working on such great vintage inspired weddings this year. This is an invitation design I just completed for a client who is in LOVE with all things vintage. We worked together to design this amazing pocketfold invitation with vibrant yellow peonies and sweet bumblebees.

I love projects that allow me to add such fun little details.. like the little bees! Each piece has a little bee zooming around in one corner or another! I love it.

Early this spring we did a fun inspiration shoot with a bunch of super talented wedding professionals from the Santa Cruz area. Together we created a lovely cherry blossom inspired wedding shoot. All the elements were there: the wedding coordinators, the amazing photographer (of course!), the drop dead gorgeous flowers and the amazing desserts! I'm super excited to see it featured on Style Unveiled!

Damask!

One of my May brides is doing a red and black theme for her wedding in a private residence. She wanted elegant, yet simple. We both agreed that the black and red damask invitations (with red envelopes!) was the perfect compromise of elegance, simplicity. It's also easy to read, which was very important to her groom.

She mailed out the wedding invitations and they were an absolute hit. Yay!

To match the invitations, we made matching labels for her favors, which were small glass votive candles.

She's thrilled. What a great way to carry your wedding theme inexpensively.. and still make a splash at your wedding!

Vintage Inspired Wedding Invitations

This week I've been working on a vintage inspired wedding suite. My client, who also happens to be one of my dearest friends, is planning a casual, elegant wedding in a nearby park. Covered in trees with sprawling lawns, this is going to be a wonderful event. I designed this invitation with her feedback after our consultation. She wanted an 'old timey' feel, with a nod to the outdoors, as both the ceremony and reception will take place on the lawns in the shade of beautiful trees.

so busy that this blog's been neglected for..2 years! okay, we're about to change that. But first, let me tell you what we've been up to!

Here's a biggie. We've expanded, and we're all about wedding invitations. Custom, exactly-what-you-want invitations. and place cards, and menus, save the dates.. that sort of thing.

Are the Holidays Here... already?

It's hard to believe that fall has arrived. Here in the Bay Area, it's been warm and balmy. Time to drag out the holiday cards already? Unbelivable.

Yet that's exactly what we're doing, in card-land. Eternally behind schedule, this is the first year I even have a prayer of producing holiday themed items in time for..the holidays. And in order to be ready in November.. well, you have to get started quite a bit earlier. And let me tell you, it felt downright...broken to be sitting on the floor, cutting out paper-pieces for my collages in the middle of the summer!

Throughout the year we've created a bunch of new cards. Enclosure cards, which are super cute on top of gifts. Holiday tags to decorate gifts (great for those last minute gifts- no card necessary!) as well as traditional boxed notecards.. and even singles. All are created from reprints of my paper collage designs. They're fun. They're bright. And finally.. they're seasonally appropriate!
